Robert Jones 


Robert Jones is the President at IPA. Mr. Jones is responsible for IPA's principal investment activities in Asia and is engaged in multiple aspects of entertainment, including film and television production and distribution, music publishing, and digital media. Mr. Jones is an expert in film distribution with over 30 years of experience in the Asia Pacific Region. He began his entertainment industry career in slate-financing arrangements for a number of major studios, which eventually lead him to start his own distribution network in Asia. Mr. Jones helped IPA evolve by forming key partnerships over the years with FUNAI, BMG, SEGA, Live Nation, Crédit Lyonnais Bank, Madonna, MGM, and Universal.

Michael Jones

Managing Director - APRO

Michael Jones serves as Managing Director of the APRO Divison. In this role, Michael identifies, evaluates, and executes new business opportunities. Michael has played a key role on behalf of IPA in film acquisitions as well as maintain it's relationships with the local JV partners. Prior to joining the IPA team, Michael spent five years at ROK Entertainment as Chief Operating Officer, a venture backed backed by Billionaire John Paul Dejoria (Founder of Paul Mitchell & Patron Tequila) & Jonathan Kendrick. Michael created partnerships and licensing deals with MGM, Playboy, Nokia, America Movil, AIS Thailand, and Blackberry. In 2008, ROK went Public with an estimated value of 1.3 Billion USD. In addition, Michael was Vice President for six years at Prime Pictures (2000-2006) under the leadership of Talaat Captan where he formerly oversaw business development and acquisitions for Prime Pictures in the MENA Region, before the company was sold in 2006. 

James Macatangay

DIRECTOR of Distribution

James Macatangay is the Director of Distribution for IPA. In this position, Mr. Macatangay is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IPA's film slate in addition to managing local releases with our partners in Asia.  Macatangay joins IPA following three years at Hulu where he led film content acquisitions efforts. As the head of the film at Hulu, Macatangay was instrumental in overall growth of the film category as well as identifying opportunities in original programming and independent films.  Prior to Hulu, Macatangay was the Head of acquisitions for DreamWorks Home Entertainment in Asia. He currently resides out of IPA's office in Manila.

Bruno Jean-Francois Cavellier

DIRECTOR OF Acquisition

Bruno Jean-Francois Cavellier is the Director of Acquisition at IPA. Mr. Cavellier is responsible for finding all potential acquisitions in the market place for film and television. He has been vital in making our foreign film acquisitions a success for our key territories such as Taiwan and Thailand. Recent acquisitions include The Transporter Series, Sola Media, and TF1 library acquisition in Taiwan. Mr. Cavellier originally from Paris, has over 25 years of international sales experience. Recently he has expanded in China with his new film "The Bombing" starring Bruce Willis, which will be released in 2016 with an estimated budget of 50 million USD. Prior to IPA, Mr. Cavellier held executive positions at Cargo Films, Vice President of Trans-Atlantic Entertainment (Cannon and New World Library), and Liberty International. Mr. Cavellier is an astute business executive with a strong combination of cross-functional and cross-cultural experience in sales, which enables him to build strong communication and relationships for IPA.

Joanna Borja Jones


Joanna Borja Jones is the Director of Digital Media at IPA. Joanna is responsible for ensuring media strategies meet the strategic requirements of our partners. This includes leading and managing relationships between Media teams, Account Supervisors/Directors and agencies to maintain and expand business within existing accounts and help uncover new business opportunities. Joanna is a highly motivated, result-oriented, innovative professional with proven executive experience in the new media market. Prior to IPA, Joanna worked at the International and home entertainment division at New Line Home Entertainment.
